Company of Heroes: Booby Traps
So, for the Axis army, Panzer Elite (part of the Opposing Fronts Expansion) get a pretty awesome doctrine, called Scorched Earth. Basically, gets them booby traps (for buildings, or strategic points), the Hummel Artillery vehicle, and a few other fun items. For the Panzer Elite player, the booby traps don’t cost anything and initally, (until they put more command points into that side of the doctrine) only the kettenrad can plant them.
This video comes from a friend, (RoboJoe) wherein he plays the Panzer Elite and shows us how booby traps can be super effective. Booby traps are only really good against players who aren’t paying attention to their sqauds. It is pretty easy to avoid because a icon pops up (along with a click noise) that alerts the Allied player that something is going to explode. Although, I have fallen prey to them even when I think I get my guys out of the way.
All in all, its a really good video that shows how effective those free booby traps can be; esp if you put it on EVERYTHING.
